Emergency and Early Recovery Volunteering in Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador and Peru

Drawing upon the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement strength in volunteering and its role as an auxiliary to State powers in humanitarian issues, the National Societies of the Red Cross in Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador and Peru, with support from the International Federation Secretariat in the Andean Countries, implemented the 16-month project, "The Red Cross auxiliary role to the Andean Committee of Prevention and Disasters Response- CAPRADE: Strengthening of volunteering national systems in the Andean region improving capacities for resilience and disaster response". Jointly implemented with the CAPRADE from Andean Community of Nations, National Disaster Risk Management and Response Systems, and Red Cross National Societies, it strengthened regional coordination and national-level systems for emergency and early recovery volunteering-EERV by creating shared coordination, management and training tools.
