On the 25 of November 2013, a group of 16 experts of the Haitian Red Cross in the sectors of health, social protection, disaster risk management, psychological support, HIV and aids gathered to pilot the exercise of mapping the activities of the Haitian Red Cross in support of the strengthening the resilience of Haitian individuals, households and communities all over the Country.

Among the sectors taken into consideration: risk assessment, disaster preparedness and response, environmental and natural resource management, health and well-being, sustainable livelihoods, physical and social protection, financial instruments, planning regimes.

The results of the mapping exercise will be useful to systematize the initiatives that Haitian Red Cross has been promoting and implementing, and to define an exhaustive base line for future initiatives in 2014 with geographical and sectorial priorities.

The workshop has counted with the participation of homologues from French, German, Norwegian and Spanish Red Cross, within the framework of a European RC National Societies collaboration for initiatives to strengthen community resilience from 2014.
